For Alumni- Issue of Verified/Certified Degree Transcript ( If Original is not lost )


Minimum INFORMATION Requirement

For providing verified duplicate transcripts, you have to provide the following information:

  • Your Name:
  • Roll No:
  • Number of Certified Duplicate Transcripts (Sealed) required:
  • Number of Certified Duplicate Transcripts (Unsealed) required:
  • Address to which the required documents to be sent (with PIN code and Phone No):
  • Details of Amount paid (with proof):


Documents of PROOF Required

Any of the following TWO documents to be furnished (Send to transcript@iitg.ac.in or Via post to the contact address mention below):

  1. Scanned copy of the original transcript.
  2. Scanned copy of the original/provisional degree certificate.
  3. Scanned copy of the alumni ID card.


Duplicate Transcript FEE RATE

The payable rates are as below:

Duplicate Transcript (Sealed)-@ Rs. 300/- per copy
Duplicate Transcript (Unsealed)-@ Rs. 300/- per copy


Mode of PAYMENT

CashIf the ex-student or his authorized person can physically come to the Institute, the payments may be made in the Canara Bank Branch of the Institute.
Demand DraftPayments may also be made through demand drafts in favour of IIT Guwahati and payable at Guwahati. Demand drafts may be made in any bank having a branch in Guwahati. Our preferred banks are Canara Bank and State Bank of India

POSTAGE CHARGE details

The Institute may send transcripts or various certificates to the student/ex-student on payment of postage as mentioned below.The role of the Institute in sending the documents is limited to booking it at the post office or with the courier. The Institute is not responsible for the safe passage and delivery of the documents to the addressee.
