For Alumni- Issue of Duplicate Degree Certificate ( If Original is lost )


For providing duplicate certificate, you have to provide the following information:

  • Your Name:
  • Roll No:


You have to send the following documents (Via post to the contact address mention below):

  1. Self-attested/scanned copy of FIR
  2. Original Affidavit on the lost Original Degree Certificate
  3. Self-attested/scanned copy of Original Transcript and Degree Certificate
  4. Self-attested/scanned copy of Alumni Card or any other certificate issued by the Institute or self-attested/scanned copy of PAN card/Aadhar Card.


The payable rate is as below:

Duplicate Certificate -@ Rs. 1000/-(USD 100 for overseas payment).


CashIf the ex-student or his authorized person can physically come to the Institute, the payments may be made in the Canara Bank Branch of the Institute.
Demand DraftPayments may also be made through demand drafts in favour of IIT Guwahati and payable at Guwahati. Demand drafts may be made in any bank having a branch in Guwahati. Our preferred banks are Canara Bank and State Bank of India
