Eligibility Criteria

Master of Technology

For admission to the MTech Programme, a candidate must have a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.0 CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) on 10-point scale (or 60% aggregate marks).

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

For admission to the MS(R) Programme, a candidate must satissfy the eligibility criteria as detailed below.

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Master of Design

For admission to the MDes Programme, a candidate must satissfy the eligibility criteria as detailed below.

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

  • Four year Professional Diploma in Design of NID or Professional Diploma of CEPT (5-year programme) with a minimum 6.0 CPI on 10-point scale (or 60% marks).
  • For Regular category candidates, valid CEED score.
Electronic Product Design
  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/ECE/EEE/Mechatronics/Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/ Medical electronics/Instrumentation/Electronic & Telecommunication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or any combination of these disciplines with a minimum 6.0 CPI on 10-point scale (or 60% marks).
  • Valid CEED score.

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.



Master of Arts

Eligibility Criteria:

For admission to an MA programme, a candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. A Bachelor's (10+2+3) degree (Major/ Honours) or equivalent from a recognized University, in any discipline, with a minimum 6.0 CPI on 10-point scale (or 60% marks) in major/honours only.
  2. Candidates not having Major/Honours courses, must have the concerned degree with a minimum 6.0 CPI on 10-point scale (or 60% marks).

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Studentship Category:

  1. MA programme is offered under Regular category and Sponsored category. The students in both the categories will pursue the programme on full-time basis.
